CIFA unveils its latest innovation in concrete machinery: the K31L truck-mounted pump, designed for easy placement—even indoors.

The CIFA “fauna” welcomes a new member: the Wombat, a revolutionary shotcrete pump designed to simplify tunnel wall consolidation work. Let’s explore how this machine can help ensure safe and seamless operations in particularly challenging job sites, such as tunnels.

Bauma 2025 is just around the corner, and CIFA is gearing up to impress with exciting new launches across its truck-mounted pumps, truck-mixer pumps, mining, and electric ranges. CIFA's innovations aim to enhance worksite efficiency—making operations easier, faster, and safer.

Building relationships with schools in the local area is an important issue for CIFA. It means understanding needs and opportunities to create new prospects for community growth. With this principle in mind, we launched a collaborative initiative with the Levi Institute of Bollate (MI), in synergy with Consorzio SiR – Solidarietà in Rete, a consortium of social cooperatives established in 2000 to promote social cooperation and foster the social and cultural development of citizens. 

As a tradition, Zoomlion celebrated its successes and achievements again this year with a special Ceremony in Changsha (China) on Chinese New Year period. This year, the CIFA Group was represented by the Top Management and the two Excellent Employees 2024: Marco Banfi (HSE Manager) and Silvia Molinetti (Plant Quality Specialist).  

The trip to China was an immersion in the innovation and excellence that distinguish Zoomlion: from the visit to the headquarters and the smart factory to the meeting with colleagues from the province of Hunan. “It was an intense and unforgettable experience” – Marco and Silvia tell us – “We had the opportunity to explore Changsha, from the suggestive city viewpoint to the ancient academy, up to a small temple hidden in the streets”.  
 
“But above all – they say – we breathed the air of modern China, between skyscrapers and technological development. In this regard, the visit to Zoomlion's Smart Factory was an experience that left us speechless, it’s difficult to describe. The most significant moment was the day of the official ceremony, with the exciting awards ceremony and the celebrations together with the Chinese colleagues. We carry with us memories, encounters and emotions that will remain indelible".

CIFA North America is proud to announce its participation at the highly anticipated World of Concrete 2025, taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 21-24, 2025. As a manufacturer of concrete pumping and placing equipment, CIFA continues to strengthen its presence in the U.S. and Canadian markets, offering unmatched service, support, and reliability to local customers. The motto “We Build Trust. Easy, Ready, Truly” stands for the importance of being close to customers and their needs because CIFA North America is part of the same world: “we are in America, we have been producing concrete machines for almost 100 years, and we solve any technical problem” – said Todd Lutz, CIFA North America’s General Manager.

CIFA returns to Ecomondo trade show following last year’s success. In the year that marks the fiftieth anniversary of its revolutionary concrete pump-mixer – known as the "Magnum" within CIFA – the company has chosen to showcase the latest evolution of this machine: the Energya MK28E, an electric pump-mixer that transforms into a hybrid machine when mounted on a diesel truck. The pump-mixer operates fully electrically and can, when needed, also draw power from the truck’s engine, ensuring operators are never left in a difficult position.

The MK28E is the world’s first electric pump-mixer, initially introduced in 2019. It offers reduced fuel consumption, increased environmental friendliness, and zero compromise on performance. The MK28E features BEE (Battery Electric Equipment) technology, which enables it to operate independently of the truck using a dedicated next-generation battery pack. Once the truck engine is turned off, all machine functions, from drum rotation (7 m³) and machine stabilisation to the extension and retraction of the boom (28 m, with the last two sections made of carbon fibre) and concrete pumping, are handled by the battery-powered electric system.

Along with cutting costs by reducing fuel consumption, the MK28E is well-suited to urban worksites with restricted access and noise limits, where operating in electric mode virtually eliminates noise emissions. The MK28E stands out for its unique features and distinctive design (it won the Red Dot Award for design in 2020), making it a top choice for clients who wish to turn their work machinery into a symbol of their brand’s commitment to sustainability.

CIFA’s dedication to sustainability began long before it became a hallmark for most companies; in fact, the Energya electric line was launched over ten years ago with the introduction of the first electric truck mixer. Additionally, since 2023, the company has been actively supporting a sustainability plan that includes environmental initiatives and projects to enhance social welfare for its various stakeholders. This year, CIFA released its first sustainability report, ahead of European regulations that will make it mandatory in 2026.
